Obituary of Ernestina Razo Regalado

The Regalado Razo family mourns the loss of our beloved Mother, Ernestina Razo de Regalado.  

Ma Tina, as her grandchildren lovingly called her, passed away peacefully May 5, 2021, surrounded by many of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Regalado, her two eldest sons, Rigoberto and José Isabel, and her grandson, Fernando Regalado. She is survived by her children Lucy Zarazua, Ernestina Rodriguez, Juan Manuel, María Eugenia, Martha, Alejandra Gomez, Leticia, and Araceli. Ma Tina is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. 

Ma Tina left a legacy of love, a fight for life, and helping others that will forever live through her children, grandchildren and all future descendants. She came with six children from Mexico in 1964 to join our father who worked in an artichoke farm in Carmel Valley, which at that time was located in what is now Palo Corona Regional Park, Carmel Valley, CA. 
 
Our sister Letty would be born while we were living in Carmel Valley, and when the artichoke farm was sold and became Rancho Cañada Golf Course, the family moved to another artichoke farm located between Salinas and Castroville. Mom would live in Salinas until her death. These are some of the things Mom loved:

She loved helping people. 
She loved garage sales. 
She love going to the casinos
She loved going to church. 
She loved her family the most. 

Visiting hours and location:Monday, May 10, 2021 Healy Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, Ca. Visiting hours from 9a.m. to 1:00pm. Rosary at 12pm. 
 
Mass on Tuesday at 1:30p.m. At Sacred Heart Church. 

Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way, Prunedale, CA 93907
