Obituary of Rafael Maciel Avila

Rafael Maciel Avila passed away on March 8, 2022 at the age of 59.  He was born on October 22, 1962 in Mexico.  He worked in agriculture for almost 20 years.  Rafael loved to sing and was very good at it.  He was known to many Salinas residents because he was always taking long walks all around the city.  

Rafael is preceded in death by his parents, David Maciel and Maria de Jesus Avila.  He is survived by brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.  

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 16th from 1-5pm with a Rosary service at 3pm at Healey Mortuary Chapel.  His Funeral Mass will be Thursday, March 17th at 10am at Christ the King Church in Salinas.
