Obituary of Virginia Salazar

Virginia Salazar 79 years old was born on January 6, 1943 to Ricardo and Avelina Guerra in Gonzales Ca, passed away peacefully on April 13,2022 in her home in Salinas Ca. Virginia was able to attend school, up to junior high before having too go to work to help support her brothers and sisters. Virginia joined the work force at a very young age and worked for Delgeti Foods and Simplot. She was a member of the Teamsters local union 890. She went to work for the Salinas Adult School and finally retired after working there for 17 years.

Virginia enjoyed cooking she was a great cook. She enjoyed winning at Bingo and an occasional trip to the casinos. Spending time with her 4 grandchildren and playing board games with them. In her later years she enjoyed coloring. Virginia truly loved her Family. Family was everything to her.

Virginia was married to Everardo Salazar for 47 years she is survived by her daughters Beatriz Salazar and Amelia ( Baltazar) Zavala. Her sons Everardo (Elizabeth) Salazar, Bacilio (Raquel) Salazar and Alexander (Amparo) Salazar. Her 4 grandchildren Benjamin Zavala, Avelina and EJ Salazar and Angel Salazar. Her sisters Inez Guerra, Esperanza Guerra and Clementina (Pancho) Montellano. Her brothers Raymond (Alicia) Guerra, Salvador (Esperanza) Guerra, Ben (Renee) Guerra and Daniel Guerra. And many nieces and nephews.

Virginia is proceeded in death by her husband Everardo Salazar. Her sisters Adelita Guerra, Linda Fuentes, Lydia Galvan, Maria Guerra and Avelina Novoa. Her brothers Rudy Guerra, Vincent Ortega, Carlos Guerra, Paul Ortega, John Guerra and Richard Guerra. Her Parents Ricardo and Avelina Guerra.

Funeral Services will be as follows:
Viewing April 20,2022 from 1-5 at Healey Mortuary. 405 N. Sandborn Road Salinas Ca 93905
 Celebration of Life April 21, 2022 at 10 am at  Community Life Apostolic Church, 850 Williams Road Salinas Ca 93905
Burial will be at 1pm at Garden of Memories Memorial Park, 850 Abbott St Salinas Ca 93901
