Obituary of Douglas Thomson

Douglas James Thomson, 67, of Salinas, California, unexpectedly passed away in his home on September 18, 2022.

Doug is survived by his loving wife Angela of 34 years, daughters Sarah Acedo, (Kimon), Monica Thomson (Ryan Carpenter), sons Douglas Alexander Thomson (Ragan), Adam Thomson (Jennifer), Nicholas Thomson (Marily), and Kyle Thomson (Rachel), his mother Marilyn Jo Thomson, brothers James Thomson, Cary Thomson, (Kathy), Scott Thomson (Sherrie), Philip Thomson, and sister Kimberly Thomson, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Doug was a loving husband, father, grandad, and friend to everyone. Doug is also survived by his long time "Hickory Elementary" friends. Doug's father, James Adam Thomson preceded him in death.

Doug loved golf, hiking, travel, music, good beer, wine, and food! He loved walks on the beach with his beloved wife Angela, BBQ's and family dinners with his children and grandchildren and camp trips to Pismo Beach, CA. He worked as a General Manager for 30 years in the Transportation industry, most recently with MV Transportation managing the Monterey/Salinas dial a ride. He spent his free time with his family and played golf whenever he got the opportunity.

A celebration of life will held on October 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sunnyside Country Club, 5704 E. Butler Avenue, Fresno, California. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity.
