Obituary of Del Roy Jones

Del Roy Jones passed away suddenly on February 7, 2023, at the age of 57.  He was a loving father, son brother, uncle, and friend.   He was a sincere person who always had a way of making anyone feel comfortable, and could always make you laugh.  Del took pride in his creative style, especially when coordinating his outfits. He was a loyal Bears fan, but when it came to his hats, coordinating the color was just as important as representing the team.  Born in Tacoma,WA, he grew up in Seaside, Ca, where he attended Seaside High School.  He inspired many with his incredible popping dance skills, that made him well known throughout Monterey County and beyond.

 He is survived by his son, Desmond Jones, stepdaughter, Kayla Lopez, brothers, Larry Jones, Tony Mello, Jerry Jones, sister Mary Nobida, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Sumiko Jones, and sister Patricia Mello.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905
