Obituary of Avelino Magsambol

Avelino passed away surrounded by family at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Magsambol served as a police lieutenant in General Trias, Cavite, Philippines before immigrating to the US in 1979. He previously was employed as a security guard with the Social Security Administration in Salinas; and most recently was self employed as an administrator for a board in care facility, retiring in 2005. "Onog", as he was known to many, served as past president of the General Trias Community of Northern California. He is survived by wife Rosie Magsambol of Salinas sons Mel (Josielyn) Magsambol of Salinas Marjohn (Ferre Hope) Magsambol of Salinas Matthew Magsambol of Salinas grandchildren Alaine Magsambol of Salinas Jeric John Magsambol of Salinas sister Gaudiosa "Ogie" (Archie) Cauntay of Salinas Melinda (Jose) Tamonte of Salinas niece Krishna Cauntay of Salinas nephews Norman Cauntay of Salinas Patrick Cauntay of Salinas Jomel Tamonte of Salinas Julian Tamonte of Salinas He is preceded in death by parents - Melquides and Dominga Magsambol
