Obituary of Peggy Kromer

Peggy Ann Kromer, born April 30,1933, in Willow, Oklahoma, passed away on August 6, 2008, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Salinas from 1942-2004. During the 60's and the 70's, she owned the "Five High Club" and the " B&E Club". She was a major supporter and contributor for the Salinas Rodeo and the Muscular Dystrophy Society. These were just a few of her many charitable contributions. During the last four years, she resided in San Juan Bautista with her nephew, Christopher C. Smith; who will deeply miss her love, friendship, and her great sense of humor. She leaves behind her brothers; Harmon "Rip"and Kathleen Smith of Hollister, and Howard R. Smith of Modesto. Also her loving nieces and nephews; Mark and Bonnie Smith of San Jose, Dana and Chad Jackson of San Jose, Cynthia and Brian Holthouse of San Juan Bautista, and Lisa Holifield of San Juan Bautista, along with many other loving relatives. As well as Midge Pettigrew of Nampa, Idaho, her loving and devoted lifelong Yahtzee-playing friend. Peggy is loved by many, and will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents Harmon Smith, Sr. and Pauline Reasoner her husband Jerry Kromer in 2003 MEMORIAL Contributions may be made to One's favorite charity.
