Obituary of Lenny Sanks

Lenny Westley Sanks, 50, of Orangevale and former native of Salinas, died peacefully Saturday, June 4, 2011, at his home. He was born February 1, 1961. Lenny was a very well known and loved handyman, building and fixing anything he could. He previously worked in glass as an installer for more than 25 years. He enjoyed music, especially playing his bass guitar. His interests also included sports, taking vacations and most of all, spending time with his family. He was an active member of the Folsom Bowling league. He is survived by his children, Nicole, Lenny, Jr., Jerry, Lee Anne and Joseph Sanks; siblings, Joann Savoy, Kenneth, Barbara and Curtis Sanks; five grandchildren; along with other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bott and Mary Lee Sanks; and brothers, Westley and Jerry Sanks. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 1 to 9 p.m., at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral service will take place Friday, June 17, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Northminster Presbyterian Church located at 315 E. Alvin Dr., Salinas, CA 93906. Cremation to follow funeral services.
