Obituary of Inocencio Fontelera

Inocencio "Joe" Fontelera wne to be with the Lord peacefully on September 29, 2008 at the Pacific Coast Care Center. He was born February 8, 1929 in San Felipe, Zambales, Philippines. He was a Merchant Marine for 26 years. He was a member of the Seafarer's International Union, The Marine Cook's & Stewards, Laoaguenian Association of Monterey, the Filipino Cultural Community Center of Salinas Valley, and Filipino-American Club of Monterey Peninsula. He loved playing "pay out" or bingo" or mahjong with his colleagues. He used to go dancing and he was a good tango dancer during his time at his hometown. He was very generous especially to his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and to relatives. His family would like to thank the office staff; nurses, aides at trhe Pacific Coast Care Center who patiently extended their care. A lion share of thanks especially to Dr. Richard Gerber, his cardiologist, who demonstrated his genuine concern, love and care to Joe. He's the best doctor he ever had. Also, to Dr. Juan Calzetta, who remembers him vividly just be the mention of Inocenio's name. We are also grateful to all our friendsand relatives who showed their love and concern. He will be missed bny family, relatives, and fiends. He is survived by his wife; Clarita; children, Elbert, Ernie, Jocelyn, Joel, and adopted children Josie and Lina; stepdaughters, Lynette and Loreen; grandchildren, Erik, Jordan, Nathan, Jenna, Anthony, and Shaylin, Jasmin, and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and relatives.
