Obituary of John Sansone Jr.

John Sansone Jr., 84, retired, died on Thursday July 13 at Community Hospital in Monterey. He passed peacefully after battling cancer.

He was born in Monterey Dec. 1, 1938 and lived in Monterey County more than 80 years. John was a dedicated father who loved golf, coffee, and his best friend, Marietta. He served briefly in the US Navy after graduating from Monterey High School in 1957.

John served as a Real Estate Broker (Sansone Real Estate) and a grocer in various local grocery stores and a meter reader for PG&E. He also served as a driver for Hertz and for Yellow Cab after retiring. He is survived by his son Mike (Angela) of Omaha, NE and by his loving best friend and partner in life, Marietta of Marina, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents (John Sr and Pauline), his brothers (Joe and Peter) and his son (John Anthony). John’s wishes are that there be no visitation or services.
