Obituary of Guadalupe Estrada Jr.

Guadalupe (Lupe) Estrada Jr. passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the age of 55. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Rodriguez and Andre Estrada; his mother Juana Estrada; sisters Hilda (Bob) Villegas, Julia Estrada, Irma (Bryan) Barr, Ana Fowler, Lydia Estrada, Eva Tankesley, Teresa Estrada, and Elsa Estrada; nieces and nephew Sarah, Kelsey and Kyle; with several grandnieces and grandnephew. He was predeceased by his father Guadalupe Estrada Sr.

Lupe was born December 11, 1967, in Salinas California to Juana and Guadalupe Estrada. He attended Alisal High School graduating in 1985. He worked mainly in Salinas at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Salinas Valley Prison, Dole, and Schillings in various positions.

Lupe had a passion for cars; classic, domestic to foreign, and the luxurious. He attended many car shows all year round. He enjoyed many types of food, from barbeques with friends and family and grabbing a bite from a food truck to various types of restaurants. He loved to listen to music and binge movies and shows. Above all else his greatest love were his two sons, Jeff and Dre. He would speak of them often in every conversation. He loved spending time with his sons, family, and friends.

A service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Healey’s Mortuary located at 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas. The Memorial service will begin at 11am. followed by a Celebration of Life in the large chapel & reception room.
