Obituary of Avelina “Evelyn” Aquitania Noble

Avelina “Evelyn” Aquitania Noble of Salinas, CA left this world peacefully at home in the company of her family this month of October. Born December 1934 in Rosario, La Union, Philippines, and raised in Baguio City, Philippines; Avelina met her husband of 55 years, Artemio Noble at John Hay Air Station in Baguio. The two were married in 1961 and had their first son, Michael before moving to the United States. While stationed at Fort Polk, LA, their son John was born. The family moved to Monterey County when her husband was stationed at Fort Ord. In 1971, Avelina and her family settled in Salinas, where she lived out her life caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed lifelong friendships made through her careers at the Social Security Department and the Ford Ord Commissary, in addition to her loving friendships formed at St. Mary’s and Madonna Del Sasso Catholic Churches. Avelina was the second oldest of 10 children and was preceded in death by our Nanang and Tatang and all of her siblings, as well as her husband Artemio Noble and son John Noble.

She is survived by her son Michael (Jen), grandchildren, Charvelle (Taylor), Marshall (Katie), Skyer, and Sierra, and her pride and joy, her great-grandchildren, Ashley, Harrison, and Charlotte.

The family has asked for privacy at this time and a celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024.
