Obituary of Genara Roman Salas

Genara Román Salas nació el 19 de septiembre de 1924, en Santo Tomás ojo caliente Zacatecas, México. Se casó a los 25 años con el joven Mariano Román. Madre de tres hijos y una hija. Después de haber quedado viuda a los 72 años, vivió en México por 6 años. Emigró a los Estados Unidos a los 78 años y vivió en Salinas, California por 12 años. Luego se mudó a San José, California en mayo de 2014 hasta el 31 de octubre 2023. Sus entretenimientos favoritos eran leer la biblia, tejer y cantar alabanzas para dios. Sobreviven una hija, un hijo, 8 nietos y 17 bisnietos. Una vida plena, bien vivida y siempre de la mano de dios.

Su visitacion será el lunes 13 de noviembre de 1 a 5 p. m. con un servicio de oración del Rosario a las 4 p. m. en la Capilla Mortuoria de Healey. Su misa de funeral será el martes 14 de noviembre a la 10 am en la Iglesia Cristo Rey, seguida del entierro en el Jardín de los Recuerdos en Salinas.

Genara Román Salas was born on the 19th of September 1924, in Santo Tomas ojo caliente Zacatecas, Mexico. She married at the age of 25 with the young Mariano Román. Mother of three sons and a daughter. After Having been widowed at the age of 72, she lived in Mexico for 6 years. He emigrated to the United States at age 78 and lived in Salinas, California for 12 years. Then she moved to San Jose, California in May 2014 until October 31, 2023. Her favorite past times were reading the Bible, knitting and singing praises to God.

She is survived by a daughter, a son, 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A full life, well lived and always in God's Hand.

Her visitation will be Monday, November 13th from 1-5pm with a Rosary Prayer Service at 4pm at Healey Mortuary Chapel.  Her Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 14th at 10am at Christ the King Church followed by burial at Garden of Memories in Salinas.
