Obituary of Tomasa "Tommie" Gonzales

Tomasa "Tommie" Trevino Gonzales was born to Demetrio Gonzales and Eulalia Trevino Gonzales in Texas in 1932, she was 91 at the time of her passing in Salinas CA. She lived most of her life in Castroville  CA, with a brief stay in San Diego with her youngest son Lino Campa.  She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

 

She is survived by her only living sibling, her sister Margaret Cardona and her sons Tony G Magana, Sammy G Magana and Lino Gonzalez Campa.  Her grandkids whom she helped raise Julia (Robert) Garcia, Tony (Jennifer) Magana, April (Dwayne) Davis, Michael (Deisy) Magana, Paul (Stephanie) Magana, Martin Magana, Sally (Tom) Jimenez, Toni (Art) Valdez, Robert Magana Jr,Andrew Magana, Adrian Magana, Linda (Hernan) Martinez, Sophia Magana, Sammy Magana JR, Eric Magana, Alexander Martin.  Her first and oldest great granddaughter  Katrina Escobar who she helped raise. Also, numerous  great grandchildren  and great-great-grandchildren.

 

She is preceded in death by her son Robert G Magana and her first great grandson Jonathan Magana

Tommie was a beautiful person inside and out, she was always dressed up for every occasion with her hair and lipstick always in place, even if it was just for picking up her great grandkids  Katrina and Jonathan from school. She loved her family, and everyone was welcome at Tommie's house.  She was taken care of by her loving son Lino until her last days.  She will be greatly missed by all her family members.

 

A visitation will take place for Tommie on Wednesday, February 14th from 1-6pm at Healey Mortuary.
